NWF grabs lead in seventh inning for victory over Lewis & Clark

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity stole the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Lewis and Clark on Saturday. Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity was down 7-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Kyle Fitzgerald homered on a 2-2 count, scoring four runs.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Lewis and Clark to score five runs in the sixth inning. Lewis and Clark's big inning was driven by a single by Blake Marks, a home run by Gage Burroughs, and a double by Dru Johnson.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity tied things up at two. Miguel Cienfuegos's sac fly scored one run for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity.

Cason Greathouse led things off on the rubber for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He went four innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking zero.

Brandon Hampton got the start for Lewis and Clark. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out three. Mason Caselton threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
