Raiders drop 2 in double-header vs. Indians

GAME 1 RECAP:

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-3 loss to Chipola on Saturday. Chipola scored on a grand slam by Alex Webb in the first inning and a single by Francisco Urbaez in the second inning.

Chipola got on the board in the first inning. Webb drove in four when he homered.

Trevor Holloway led things off on the rubber for Chipola. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Christian Camacho started the game for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He surrendered six runs on nine hits over five innings, striking out one and walking one. Jackson Sloan threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Chipola socked three home runs on the day. Webb went yard in the first inning. Max Guzman went deep in the third inning. Jared Howell had a four bagger in the sixth inning.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity had eight hits in the game. Lee Musgraves and Jake Randa each managed multiple hits for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. Randa and Musgraves each collected two hits to lead Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity.

Chipola collected 11 hits on the day. Morgan McCullough, Guzman, Urbaez, and Webb each collected multiple hits for Chipola.

GAME 2 RECAP:

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-6 loss to Chipola on Saturday. Chipola scored on a home run by Max Guzman in the first inning, a sacrifice fly by Alex Arauz in the second inning, and a single by Morgan McCullough in the second inning.

Despite the loss, Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Chipola had 14 hits on the way to victory.

Chipola fired up the offense in the first inning. Guzman homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity scored five runs in the sixth inning. Lee Musgraves, Kaden Polcovich, and Kyle Fitzgerald all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Chipola scored four runs in the fifth inning. McCullough and Edmond Americaan all drove in runs in the frame.

Jose Visaez was on the mound for Chipola. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three.

Cason Greathouse got the start for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He surrendered six runs on six hits over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking zero. Ethan Routzahn and Conor Angel entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

Chipola hit two home runs on the day. Americaan went yard in the fifth inning. Guzman put one out in the first inning.

Chipola racked up 14 hits. Julio Carrion, Francisco Urbaez, McCullough, and Alex Webb all managed multiple hits for Chipola. Chipola didn't commit a single error in the field. Urbaez had the most chances in the field with seven.
