NWF picks up ninth straight win after sweeping series with Shelton State

Saturday, March 2 - 2pm game

Conor Angel didn't allow a single run against Shelton State, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity to a 4-0 victory on Saturday

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity scored two runs when Jake Randa homered.

One bright spot for Shelton State was a single by Rooker in the second inning.

Angel led things off on the hill for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over six innings, striking out nine.

Britt Sparks toed the rubber for Shelton State. He went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits. Bryant, Mullins, and Collins each contributed in relief for Shelton State.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity launched one home run on the day. Randa went yard in the first inning.

Mikey Madej, Will Moriarty, Randa, and Kyle Fitzgerald all had one hit to lead Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Tanner Johnson had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

Shelton State was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Smitherson had the most chances in the field with six.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity cruised to an easy victory over Shelton State 8-2 on Saturday

In the first inning, Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity got their offense started when Will Moriarty grounded out, scoring two runs.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity scored three runs in the fifth inning. Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity scored its runs on a triple by Blaine Smith.

Jacob Kelchner toed the rubber for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Reynolds was on the mound for Shelton State. He went four innings, allowing four runs on four hits. Watkins threw two innings in relief.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Kaden Polcovich had a homer in the sixth inning.

Friday, March 3 - 5pm game

A four-run second inning led Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity to a 7-1 victory on Friday. Will Moriarty and Justice Lucas each drove in runs during the inning.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity got things started in the first inning when Mikey Madej singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity tallied four runs in the second inning. Moriarty and Lucas all drove in runs in the frame.

Matt Boswell was on the pitcher's mound for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Austin was on the mound for Shelton State. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out two. Robertson, Austin Kitterman, and Cyle Moore each contributed in relief for Shelton State.

Tanner Johnson, Lucas, Madej, Moriarty, Kaden Polcovich, Jake Randa, KC Simonich, and Brock Franks all had one hit to lead Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity.
