Northwest Florida Responds with 11–5 Win at Tallahassee

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Northwest Florida baseball bounced back in a big way Saturday, using a strong offensive showing to take down Tallahassee 11–5 and earn a split in the two-game series after Friday's loss.

The Raiders struck early in the second inning, plating three runs to grab control. Orlando Fernandez was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring in the first run, and Hunter Tarchalski followed with a two-run single to make it 3–0.

Tallahassee answered in the third, scoring twice on a sacrifice fly and a passed ball to cut the lead to 3–2, but Northwest Florida quickly regained momentum.

An RBI single from Matthew Scott in the fifth extended the lead, and the Raiders added another in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk by Tristan King to push the advantage to 5–2.

Northwest Florida broke things open late. In the eighth, King delivered an RBI double before Xavier Rivera drove in two more with a double of his own, stretching the lead to 8–2.

Anthony Quigley put the game out of reach in the ninth, launching a three-run home run to cap the scoring for the Raiders at 11.

Tallahassee added three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn't enough to threaten the outcome.

On the mound, Bradley Garrett set the tone with a strong start, allowing just two runs (one earned) over five innings while striking out six. Tucker Delisle was solid out of the bullpen, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.

Offensively, the Raiders tallied 11 hits, led by Quigley's three RBIs. Angel Santiago sparked the lineup with three hits, while Rivera and King each added multiple-hit performances.

Northwest Florida also showed discipline at the plate, drawing 13 walks, and stayed aggressive on the bases with three steals. Defensively, the Raiders were flawless, not committing an error and turning in a clean all-around performance.
