Braylon Roman Named to All-FCSAA Team
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced its 2026 Division I Men's Basketball All-FCSAA Team, with Northwest Florida State guard Braylon Roman earning a spot among the 12 honorees.
Roman, a sophomore from Bloomington, Illinois, anchored the Raiders' backcourt throughout the season, starting all 30 games. He averaged 12.8 points per game while logging 31.8 minutes per contest and shot an efficient 48.5 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range.
Serving as the team's primary point guard, Roman led the Raiders with 4.8 assists per game while also contributing 4.2 rebounds per game. On the defensive end, he averaged 1.2 steals per game.
Among players across the state, Roman ranked sixth in the FCSAA in total assists (145), 19th in total points (383), 22nd in steals (37), and 23rd in field goal percentage.
Roman recorded five games with 20 or more points this season, including a career-high 23-point performance with seven assists against No. 2 Daytona State. On December 13, he also posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists in a win over Reid State.
Earlier this season, Roman was named First Team All-Panhandle Conference, marking the second consecutive year he has earned all-conference recognition.
Roman and the Raiders will open postseason play Wednesday when they face Miami Dade in the opening round of the FCSAA Basketball Championships.
