5 Raiders Named to All-Panhandle Softball Teams
NICEVILLE, Fla. – Five Northwest Florida State softball players were named to All-Panhandle Conference teams, the association announced last week.
Amber Divine, Abby Sulte, and Gabrielle Fischetti landed on the first team, while Lele Martinez and Brittni Rufus earned second team honors.
Divine batted .409 with a .435 on-base percentage and a.535 slugging percentage. The Clermont, Fla., native ranked 16th in the state with 41 runs scored and 19th with 52 hits.
Sulte finished the season in the top 10 in the nation in home runs with 20. She was ninth in the country with 71 runs scored and second in the FCSAA in runs, runs batted in (67), and total bases.
Fischetti batted .467 on the year with 19 doubles, second-most in the FCSAA. The catcher posted a .526 on-base percentage, and a .800 slugging percentage. 28 of Fischetti's 63 hits went for extra bases.
Martinez hit .321 with 68 runs scored, third-most in the state. The native on Ponce, Puerto Rico, stole 35 bases and drove in 52 runs.
Rufus swiped a team-best 36 bases, batted .431 and posted a .528 on-base percentage. Rufus scored 42 runs for the Raiders, the 15-th highest mark in the FCSAA.
