Eduardo, Lady Raiders top Santa Fe
Rudiane Eduardo had a team-high 20 points and nine boards, Lindsey Jennings put forth what Northwest Florida State women's basketball head coach Patrick Harrington called "an inspiring defensive effort" and the undefeated, seventh-ranked Lady Raiders outscored Santa Fe 50-31 in the second half en route to an 86-71 win on Friday in Marianna.
"It was two different halves," Harrington said. "In the second half the ladies played with the effort and energy they're capable of playing with. They did a nice job of committing to brand of basketball we've come to expect."
The Lady Raiders improved to 3-0, all wins coming by double digits as they've opened the season outscoring foes by an average margin of 83-50.
Carla Batchelor added 15 points and Tyshara Fleming and Jennings chipped in 11 each for the Lady Raiders, who trailed 40-36 at halftime.
They will play Georgia Perimeter at noon today in Marianna.
