Diagne Earns NJCAA National Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Northwest Florida State freshman standout Khoudia Diagne has been named the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the association announced earlier today.
Diagne is coming off another dominant weekend, averaging a double-double across two games with 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest. She opened the weekend with an 11-point, 10-rebound performance against Eastern Florida on Friday before posting 20 points and 11 boards Saturday versus St. Petersburg.
The Senegal native has been electric all season, excelling on both ends of the floor. She leads the team with 15.4 points per game on an impressive 63.7 percent shooting while adding 9.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.1 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. Diagne has scored in double figures in all 10 games this season and has recorded four double-doubles.
Diagne and the Raiders return to action at Raider Arena this weekend, hosting Florida SouthWestern on Friday (Dec. 5) and Daytona State on Saturday (Dec. 6).
