Gary Drives in Five as Raiders Roll Past Louisburg

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Northwest Florida State Raiders delivered another dominant performance Friday, erupting for 20 runs for the second time this season while recording their fourth combined no-hitter of the year in a 20–0 victory over Louisburg Friday.

Jaci Gary led the offensive explosion, driving in five runs. The sophomore crushed a grand slam to center field in the fourth inning to cap a massive day at the plate and put the game firmly out of reach.

Northwest Florida set the tone immediately, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. Haley Hughes opened the scoring with an RBI triple, while aggressive baserunning and timely contact helped the Raiders quickly extend the lead. The momentum carried into the second inning as Northwest Florida plated five more runs, highlighted by Falyn Beebe's two-run triple, pushing the advantage to 9–0.

After a scoreless third, the Raiders broke the game open in the fourth with nine runs. Gary's grand slam ignited the inning, followed by run-scoring hits from Isabelle Warrick and Hannah Melancon, along with productive outs and defensive miscues that allowed Northwest Florida to reach the 20-run mark.

In the circle, Savannah Carter earned the win after tossing three hitless innings, striking out four and allowing no runs. Isabelle Warrick followed with two scoreless innings in relief to help complete the combined no-hitter.

The Raiders finished with 14 hits, with Bre Hughes, Julie Stevens, Beebe, and Ana Grace Griggs each collecting two. Hughes was a menace on the bases, swiping four bags as Northwest Florida totaled five stolen bases and drew five walks in the contest.

The convincing win continued a strong homestand for the Raiders as they maintain one of the nation's most potent offenses and pitching staffs heading deeper into the season.
